About us...
Lorenzo's Specialty Foods established in 2001
Lorenz was diagnosed with celiac disease a few years earlier. As with most people in the same
situation, adjusting to the new diet was difficult.
Gluten free foods
were difficult to find and shopping became very frustrating. After much
research and experimentation, Lorenz and Waltraud were baking delicious
gluten free foods at home.
Soon after, they decided to try selling some
of the baking through the booth they had been operating at the St. Norbert
Farmers Market for over 10 years.
Response from fellow celiacs
was so encouraging that Lorenz and Waltraud decided to make the business
permanent.
Many batches of breads, cookies, pies and cakes later, Lorenz
and Waltraud enjoy making the lives of their customers a little easier.
Since October 2009 a new baker from Europe is part of our team. Frank has received his Master Baker Diploma of Germany already in 1994 and due to his knowledge, we are able to offer many new products to our customers.
